Emma Pollock and Hubby have announced plans to go out on the road together this September. Hubby, still in the midst of a neverending flurry of live dates in support of his magical second album Thirteen Lost & Found, will accompany Chemikal’s founding…er, mother(??) Emma Pollock for what will be a relatively rare UK-wide outing for the ex-Delgado.
Emma remains as prolific as ever with her wonderful collaboration projects the Fruit Tree Foundation and The Burns Unit, not to mention her show-stopping contribution to Hubby’s album on ‘Half Light’. Some new solo material from Emma will be getting an airing on the tour, as she gears up to enter the studio and record the follow up to 2010’s ‘The Law of Large Numbers’. Incidentally, when we were putting the Soundcloud player together for this news story we discovered that Hubby’s debut album ‘First & Last’ was re-issued on Chemikal Underground on exactly the same day as we released Emma’s album: how mildly coincidental is that?!?
There will be an ultra-limited, exclusive 6-track EP manufactured for this tour featuring some new and previosuly tracks from both Hubby and Emma. Ticket links for the dates will be updated as they come in and in the meantime, have a listen to the player below and understand why these dates really ought not to be missed…
