We’ve got some new artist news for you! We are absolutely delighted to welcome Broken Chanter aka David MacGregor to the Chemikal family. We’ve overheard him recording his last two albums at Chem19 and simply couldn’t let this latest one pass us by.
David has already released two critically-acclaimed and sonically-diverse albums as Broken Chanter to date. The eponymous debut arrived at the end of 2019 just months before the advent of the p*ndemic, and the most recent – the award-winning Catastrophe Hits (2021) -was recorded and produced by our very own Paul Savage. Before adopting the moniker of BC, David plied his trade for a decade as the frontman and principal songwriter of critically-lauded altpop noisniks Kid Canaveral, releasing three albums and making a joyful racket all over Europe and North America.
The latest Broken Chanter record is a real treat indeed, and is the second with our Paul at the controls. We’ll tell you all about it in the very near future.
